Where Does This Go
-J. Burridge
Bright sparks burning, dancing in the wood
Following each ray of rainbow that we could
___Where did this go?
A soul in the corridor and a soul in the stair
Screams underground and ashes in the air
A long fall to freedom and a climb to nowhere
Haunting memories and a hope without a care
___Where did this go?
Black cinders that glow in the evening light
Whispering words that hold you tight
Echoes that roar through the night
Ghosts whirling and revealing all their might
Bloody dreams almost in sight
Swirling flames riding the empty kite
___Where did this go?
______Tell me where did this go?
The smell of sweet cinnamon carried by the bark
A bold lit candle to illuminate the dark
___Where will this go?
Meadows wide open for the smallest star
Purest water that knows no scar
Firey flowers on mountains stretching far
Melodies falling on the strings of what we are
___Where will this go?
Weak angels finding their wings to fly
Trees humming their soft lullaby
Greater things which cannot die
Grass and sun and the stones that lie
The entire realm of the summer sky
Most precious promises are nigh
___Where will this go?
______Tell me where will this go?
